The stars have been a source of wonder, navigation, and stories since the existence of humans, and many people enjoy creating works of art that show off these incredible celestial bodies. This picture we’re going to create is adorable and charming, and using these steps, we’ll show you how easy it can be to draw this trio of stars. We will draw three stars arranged next to each other for this star drawing. The stars will be the same shape, but we’ll take this first star a little slower so you can see how to trace the outlines quickly. Per star will have 5 issues, and we will concentrate on the highest three in this stage.
Each tip will be pretty pointed but will also be rounded and curved. Start by drawing the point to the left and then fold it up. You can draw the start of the arm on the right, but we’ll finish it in the next step.
You started the first star earlier, and in this second step of our how to draw stars guide, we’ll draw the rest of the outline. First, complete the right arm you just started in the previous step. It will then become the two lower points of the star.
These bottom stitches will look like the top ones, as they will be thick and curved. Eventually, they will connect to the first point on the left, and the outline of the first star will be complete! Before we add some fun details to this star, we’ll focus on adding star friends in the next few steps.
This third stage of the guide will focus on adding a second star to accompany the first. This one will go under the first one on the right and be the same shape as the first one. You’ll notice it’s at a slightly different angle, but you can always go through the first two steps again to draw this second one. That’s all for now, and then we can move on to the star’s final outline in the guide’s next step!
You are ready to add the final star outline to your star drawing before adding fun face details! This star will go to the bottom left of the drawing and essentially be a mirror image of the star in the bottom right.
It is another star where you can repeat the first two steps of the guide while adjusting it to the star’s angle. Once this final outline is drawn, we can add some fun details in step five.
It’s not just stars that we’re creating in this guide on how to draw stars, as we’ll be adding some fun face details in this fifth step. The pieced star will have a look, and each facial presentation will be slightly different. The top one will have perfectly round black eyes with small white circles inside. The mouth will be curved with two rounded cheeks at each corner.
Then the bottom right star will have a similar face with slightly smaller eyes. Finally, the remaining star will have two curved lines for its closed eyes and a tongue sticking out of its mouth. You might as well add your own when you’ve drawn those final details! Maybe you could create more variations of stars or a fun background for some ideas.
You’ve reached the last step of the guide, and now it’s time to have fun with colors. In our sample image, we show you one of the ways you can color this adorable drawing. We use bright yellows for most stars and darker shades for the lower parts. These darker sections help shade the stars and make them even more beautiful!

You can also add planets, spaceships, or asteroids to get ideas for background details. What else would fill the galaxy if you added a background to this set of stars? Each star in this star drawing has an adorable and simple facial expression. Changing these expressions would be an easy way to personalize the image. It could change the expressions, or you could draw the faces in entirely new styles. Using a unique face and expression for each star could be a fun challenge.
What kind of styles could you use for the faces? Different tools and art mediums would be a great and fun way to make this drawing even better. Some of these mediums could make this image even more striking! For example, you can use a little brightness in the image to make it look like stars are twinkling in the sky.
